My forte is web programming and dynamic web pages.
Using php/MySQL to generate html, css, javascript, I specialize
is designing client-maintainable websites with simple
administrative
backends for content management. Updating is form-driven from
password-protected admin pages. In other words, you don't have
to wait for the webmaster if you want to update the content.
While Content Management Systems have become
very popular with medium to large companies, they can be complicated
to set up and maintain, often requiring experts in the particular CMS
you are using (Joomla, Convio, Ruby on Rails, etc.); thus, whether
open-source or not, the flexibility and power of these frameworks
can be also costly and time-consuming.
As an alternative to a rather complex CMS, I have been specializing in creating
user-friendly, goof-proof backends
that allow you the content control you need without the stuff
you don't need. KIS method (keep it simple). It is tailored
for your precise needs, no more, and no less.
I'm also quite experienced with PayPal integration & various forms of ecommerce
(real goods and downloads), as well as forums, blogs, and
subscription email lists.
