I've had all sorts of nice feedback from the Mel Minter article about me in July's Albuquerque the Magazine.  Thanks again Mel for nudging me into doing the interview, which was indeed painless!  Mel is an interesting guy himself.  I recently met a singer here in town who knew Mel back in New York as a hanger-outer in the music scene there.  As a writer Mel is really a fixture here in ABQ. His blog called Musically Speaking can be found at melminter.com.  Mel is one more reason why I enjoy this town.

Faith, Hope and Jazz has established itself nicely up on Central Ave.  It is a weekly thing that I really look forward to, each week a new grouping of musicians, a new audience, a new set of variables with which to respond spontaneously.  It is more than I could hope for.

I've also gotten some nice feedback on the new site, which is, as you know, a work in progress.  A good website is always that.  Good thing I know a little about website maintenance. ;-)

So stay cool everyone, despite the increasing level of humidity on these warm days (still nothing compared to what I never-got-used-to in New York!) and don't forget to come out and hear some live jazz now and then!  Guaranteed to cool you off at least 10 degrees!
